I'm replacing the gimbal housing on my 1984 Ranger 395V i/o bass boat. I recently bought this awesome boat and while fixing it up, discovered the gimbal housing was damaged. In this YouTube, I'll show you how I replaced it with a refurbished Alpha 1, Gen1 gimbal housing.

This is a rare 1984 Ranger 395-V i/o inboard, outboard bass boat. It has a Mercruiser 260/Chevy 350 engine. I recently bought it online and have been fixing it up. I haven't put it on the lake yet. I call her Big Blue. I pulled the engine out and did a lot of work to it and the boat. I haven't started the boat since I've done all that work, so I'm hoping for the best! I'm installing trim limit/sender switches on a Mercruiser 260/Chevy 350 stern drive on my Ranger 395-V I/o bass boat. A trim limit switch is a safety device which keeps the driver from over-trimming the drive. The trim sender switch is used to send a signal to the trim gauge as a visual cue to what your trim is set at.

I'm installing an Alpha One, Gen One sterndrive on a Mercruiser 260/Chevy 350 engine. This is on Big Blue- my 1984 Ranger 395-V I/o (inboard/outboard). The sterndrive combines inboard power with outboard drive. The sterndrive sits outside the hull. I've been doing a lot of work on this boat and this is a continuation of that.
